Monday, August 24th, 2009. That’s the day I met Lindsay Wolf. It was the first day of our acting class. Our teacher told us to partner up and give massages to one another. Lindsay and I looked at each other awkwardly. We partnered up, she smiled and said something along the lines of “you know, we might become really good friends because of this.” She was right, we became best friends fairly quickly.
The first photo that the two of us took together was at a play on campus. It was Dionysus, and it was awful. We would have left early if our professor Bob wasn’t peering over our shoulders (seriously, that’s him in the photo peering over our shoulders.)
The last photo we took together was four year later. It was at my going away party this last July. I was all set to move to Oregon, so I was saying goodbye to all of my friends. The hardest goodbye was obviously the goodbye I had to give to Lindsay. It was awfully emotional for both of us as you can see in this pic. Fortunately I have thousands of happy pictures that we had taken throughout the years.
Today is Lindsay’s birthday, and I’m so sad that I’m not in Utah to help her celebrate. I was wondering what I could give her that could top the singing telegram I gave her a few years ago:
So I decided it might be fun to recap some of the amazing adventures that we took during the last four years…Dear Lindsay –
Happy Birthday! You are the most beautiful and amazing person I have ever met. You’re clever, quick-witted, and hilarious. You’ve got a heart of gold and I’m lucky to have you in my life. I’m so happy to know that even though we are so many miles apart now, we still have a pretty kick ass (two words?) friendship. We have Skype, hour long phone calls, and numerous texts to keep us in touch – and I love it! Happy birthday, sweetheart. Riding my scooter with you in the city.
I hope your birthday is super fabulous. LYLWLW. Come visit me soon – Let’s make more memories!
